Leah is a junior in Davenport majoring in Earth & Planetary Sciences. She's passionate about widespread carbon emissions reduction through systemic change and stewarding ecosystems as natural carbon sinks. Having grown up in Colorado, the worsening fires and diminishing snowpack inspired her research in soils, hydrology, permafrost, and wildfire in the US West and Alaska, which has made her especially passionate about reducing anthropogenic methane emissions. She loves connecting with the Earth through ecosystem restoration work, hiking, biking, backpacking, climbing, and working on Yale Farm!
